Infants
In their first year, infants learn to focus their vision, explore, and learn about the things around them
Brain development means the learning process of memory, language, thinking, and reasoning. Learning language is more than making sounds or saying mama. Listening, understanding, and knowing the names of people and things are all part of language development. During this stage, infants also are developing bonds of trust and love with their parents and others as part of social and emotional development. The way parents cuddle, hold, and play with their child will set the basis for how they will interact with them and others.
Dr. Palmer works with new parents to make sure they are confident in their role and that they have addressed all the important issues like sleep, safety, breastfeeding, activity and a healthy body, screen time and much more. Please make sure to fill out all necessary forms before your appointment.
